Sky Watch

In my imagination ...

You know, I love mountains! Where I was born and grew up was beautiful mountains ... Where I live now there are no mountains or hills. When I saw this cloud formation before sunset, the first thing flashing in my mind was "Misty Mountains"!
Well ... who does not have mountains, imagine :-)

Thank you for the mountains. There are not any big ones around here.

No mountains? It is hard to understand how any can live without mountains and the ocean.

I`m thinking of joining SkyWatch Friday too. If I understand how to participate...

Thank you Robert for your explanation. I visited the Skywatch site but it was nothing there. That`s why I was confused.

Some mountains require millenia, others, the blink of an eye.

I know what you mean Robert! I live in Oslo now - but I am born on the west coast of Norway, where there is a lot of big mountains growing straight up from the sea! I miss that sometimes!

Great shot of your mountain!
Happy SkyWatch!

Magnificant photo of the cloud.

I am installing Windows 7 on my main computer today and on my wife's computer tomorrow. I will probably say something about this on one of my blogs tomorrow.

I don't think I've had the pleasure of stopping by before. Shame On Me. Beautiful header shot. Wonderful cloud shot for today too. I'll be back.

Hi Robert, I also imagine that skyes are different things: mostly faces, and animals ;)and suddenly they change forms: a cute rabbit becomes a crocodile or something.. :) and whats good about it is that they can be whatever you want them to be, so this is your mountain!-a nice one too! cool! :)

Where I live in Illinois is flatland. I will need to take a "new" look for mountains in the sky. Nice idea. Lovely capture of the mountains in the sky.

Great pseudo mountains. That's all we have around here as well.

I just saw a pamphlet put out on earth day that describes all the different types of clouds. I'll have to use it the next time I post a cloud.

Great job.

Beautiful - they do look like mountains, but the kind where one would need winged boots to ascend, rather than hiking boots!

We don't have mountains here either and I do love them so. From now on I will look at the clouds like you did and enjoy the mountains I see :)

I was born in the mountains and lived 30 years away from them. It's wonderful to be back among them so I understand your sentiment.
These are lovely 'misty mountains'!

Thanks for visiting my skywatch!
I love your blog.

My first thought was ..It's a dog !! But yes, it could be mountains wreathed in mist.

I just need to open my front door to see the mountains ... unfortunately they are not often wreathed in mist...but they are now capped with snow..
